- Bohin factory, the World of needles awaits you at St Sulpice de Risle
Come and discover one of the most unique factories in France making sewing needles. The factory is listed as a historic monument for its “Made in France” quality.
Practical advice
It will take about a quarter of an hour to reach St Sulpice sur Risle.
If you would like to see the sewing needle factory in action, make sure to visit from Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 5 pm. Visits last two hours. No need to worry about buying factory entry tickets, they’re already included in your stay package, if you have taken this option.
- Abbey de la Trappe, a true jewel of Romanesque and Cistercian architecture in Soligny la Trappe.A specially organised visit can be arranged for you and make sure not to leave without dropping into the boutique, where the gorgeous smells of essential oils will entice you.
- You’ll need about 30 minutes to get there
- The Museum of Trade and Brands, a part of the museum at Tourouvre – Pierre Marzoratti is its founder he also founded the Grocery Museum in 1988, located at Lignerolles, not far from Tourouvre The small shops, stalls, the yearning for yesteryear, part of our best memories from the good old days. Slogans, posters, signs and multi-coloured objects evoke memories of the working environment of some, often very colourful characters: grocers, dairy workers, butchers, bakers…The museum is the product of a place of memories where everyone can find the shops of yesteryear and become aware of the importance of “brands” in trading both yesterday and today.
Practical advice
It will take you a quarter of an hour to get to Tourouvre:
Visits are from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 12.30 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm.
No need to worry about buying museum entry tickets, they’re already included in your stay package, if you have chosen this option.
